![]() In 2005, the first Daughters of the King Conference was held in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The speaker, Shampa Rice, who ministers to women all over the world, told of the women from her country of India who also needed and wanted to go to Women's Conferences as well for the learning, the fellowship and the encouragement found in such events, but most had no money to attend them. The women of Nothern Minnesota and North Dakota, with a collective heart of love and hope towards their sisters in India, gave enough money to completely support a Women's Conference in Northern India, which was held the following Spring in 2006. As Shampa scheduled that Conference, Connie Moland was asked to go along and help through her own speaking and teaching. Though Connie says that going to India was not on her wish list, God said, "go" and she found herself going to the other side of the world being a part of both a Women's Conference as well as a Pastor's Conference. One of Connie's dreams was to visit Chiang Rai, Thailand to bless and encourage some missionaries there and that was made possible after being in India. Here are some of Connie's pictures from India and Thailand, memories not soon forgotten. India and Thailand |
