If a ring is oversized, you will struggle to keep it on your fingers and if you are not careful, you may lose it without knowing.

On the other hand, buying an undersized ring is not going to be a palatable experience. You are sure going to suffer a lot of discomforts trying to put it on and take it off.

The need to get the perfect size of a ring cannot be overemphasized. While it is easy to manage other fashion items when they do not fit perfectly, you better not try that with rings.

1. Take a dental floss or piece of string and wrap it around the base of your finger
2. Use a marker or pencil to mark the point where the ends of the floss or string meet
3. With a millimeter ruler (rings are measured in millimeter), measure the string or floss
4. Record your ring size and consult the international ring sizes standard below to find the right ring size for you
